Cot d'Uco Malbec Reserve Red Wine
Cot means Malbec in French, and in honor of this strain, which found its highest expression in the Valle de Uco, the name Cot d'Uco (Uco'sMalbec) has been given to it. Elegant, complex, and refined, this wine reflects the noble characteristics of the typical Argentine Malbec. This wine has an intense ruby color with violet shades. Aromas of red fruits and berries, including plums, raspberries, and blackberries, combine with subtle notes of chocolate. On the palate, its sweet and powerful tannins are perceived with a delicate touch of vanilla, due to its aging for twelve months in French oak.
ABOUT THE REGION: This wine comes from Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, a unique terroir at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The grapes are grown at altitudes between 3000 and 4000 feet where the intense sunlight, coupled with cool night temperatures, and mineral-rich irrigation from the mountain's snowmelt, translate to dazzlingly bright, aromatic, and rich flavors. This land is considered the best area in the world for the production of Malbec.
