FL Fuoriserie Cento Moscadello di Montalcino DOC 2006 375mL
The appellation of controlled origin.
The old gold color with intense tint, the delicate aroma of candied fruit and apricot, and a warm, sweet, harmonious taste: are the characteristics of this wine. A white muscatel dessert wine, with a fine, elegant body reminiscent of Sauternes: an exceptional Moscadellodi Montalcino, the late harvest of Moscato grapes. The grapes are left to wither on the vines, allowing a very high sugar concentration. The must be obtained from a gentle pressing and is fermented in barriques where it rests for two years for ageing.
The exceptional Moscadello di Montalcino is produced from a late harvest with 100% white Muscat grapes. Delicious nectar to which Fabio Lamborghini dedicates sweet memories, such as Cento in Emilia Romagna, the country where both he and his uncle Ferruccio were born and the place where the famous family tractor factory was built, even before that of the prestigious supercars.

Seasonal conditions: Excellent harvest in 2006, only one rainfall in mid-September and then lots of sun. The climatic trend has allowed the grapes to ripen gradually and balanced, with optimal alcohol content and acidity.
Age of the vineyards: 20 years.

Vine density: 5.000 vines/ha.
Vine training: Spurred cordon.
Altitude: 450 metres.
Harvesting: Late harvest, beginning of November, hand-picked in crates.
Vinification: Fermentation directly in oak barrels.
Ageing: In oak barrels for 24 months.
Bottle refining: At least 2 years.
Annual production: 2.666 bottles of 375 ml.
Colour: Antique gold.
Scent: Fine, delicate, complex, notes of chestnut honey, candid fruit, apricot and exotic fruits.
Taste: Sweet, soft, velvety, elegant, harmonic, full, fresh acidity; aromatic persistence, extremely long after-taste.
Longevity: 15-20 years.
Matches with: foie gras, seasoned cheese, gorgonzola and pastry.
Serving temperature: 12-14°C (53°F-57°F).
