This wine is created with a blend of Sangiovese Grosso grapes mixed with a small amount of Merlot coming from the estate vineyards located in the Siena area. This historical wine from Tuscany has a well-balanced, warm flavor, with harmonious roundness in tannins, a fruity fragrance with hints of blackcurrant and violet, bright ruby red color. It is ready for immediate enjoyment and matches well with a great range of foods.
Seasonal conditions: Winter with temperatures on average but with very little rain. Fresh spring, May with one of the highest rainfall levels ever (230mms). The hot and dry summer was interrupted by three days of heavy thunderstorms. The alternation between hot weather and thunderstorms continued until September. The seasons were not regular but led to a beautiful harvest in terms of quality and quantity giving full-bodied wines with great fruit and finesse.
